친애하는 재스위스한인과학기술자협회원분들께,
이번 EKC2015에 session을 담당하고 싶으신 회원님께서는, 아래의 ECK2015 Program director 이신 박정해 교수님의 전문을 확인하시고, proposal을 info@kseas.org 로 보내주시기 바랍니다.
Session organizer가 모든 연사를 초청하는 노력을 기울일 필요가 없고, 최소 한명의 invited speaker만을 초청하면 된다는 부분에 유의하시어, 큰 부담을 가지지 않으시고 신청을 독려하셨으면 합니다.
훌륭한 연구성과를 유럽에 계신 많은 분들과 공유할 수 있는 이번 기회에 회원분들의 많은 참여를 부탁드립니다.

안녕하십니까?
EKC 2015 program director로 일하고 있는 박정해라고 합니다.
EKC 관련하여 유럽 각국 과협의 National coordinator(혹은 회장님)께 긴급히 협조를 요청하고자 연락 드립니다.
어제가 Session proposal submission 마감일이었으나, 현재까지 프랑스를 제외한 다른 과협의 참여가 극히 저조합니다.
아시다시피, EKC의 가장 중요한 행사는 학술 활동입니다.
전통적으로 EKC에서는, 공동 주최하는 모든 과협에서 Session 구성에 적극적으로 참여를 해왔습니다.
지난 EKC를 보시면 모든 과협에서 예외 없이 최소한 한 명 이상의 Session organizer가 EKC의 학술 활동 전반을 주재하고 이끌어 왔습니다.
이는 공동 주최자로서의 상호간의 협력 면에서도 중요하지만, 차기 EKC를 위하여 학술 대회 운영의 전반에 관한 know-how를 공유하는 측면에서도 반드시 필요합니다.
현재, 프랑스 과협의 모든 관련 임원들이 최선을 다하고 있습니다만, 유럽 각국 과협의 도움이 없이는 성공적인 EKC 개최가 어렵습니다.
특히, 논문을 심사하고 Invited speaker를 섭외할 Session organizer의 역할은, 우수한 학술 활동을 위한 가장 중요한 요소입니다.
각국 협회의 National coordinator께서는 협회 내에서의 협의를 거쳐, 최소한 한 명 이상의 Session organizer를 최대한 빠른 시간 내에 선임해 주시면 대단히 감사드리겠습니다.
3월 15일에는 Abstract submission이 EKC webpage를 통하여 시작될 예정입니다.
그 이전에 최소한 Session 별로 다음의 사항들은 결정이 되어야만 합니다.
* Session title
* Science group
* Short introduction of the session
* Session organizer
그 이외의 사항은 Abstract submission이 진행되는 도중에 추가하셔도 무방합니다.
다시 한번 말씀드리지만, Session organizer가 모든 Contributing speaker를 다 섭외할 필요는 없습니다.
유럽 내 혹은 한국에서 오는 일반 참가자들이 Abstract submission 시에 관련 Session을 선택하면, 해당 Session organizer에게 Abstract이 전달될 것입니다.
다만, 5월말(Abstract submission 종료)까지는 Session organizer가 최소한 한 명 이상의 Invited speaker(유럽 혹은한국)를 섭외해 주시길 부탁드립니다.
Invited speaker에게는 유럽 내의 교통비, 호텔비 (1박) 그리고 EKC 등록비 면제를 제공해 드리겠습니다.
그 이외의 문의 사항이나, 특별한 지원이 필요하신 경우에는 언제든지 제게 연락해 주시기 바랍니다.
다시 한번 여러분들의 협조를 부탁드리며, 귀 과협의 무궁한 발전을 기원합니다.

Dear all,
Above all, I’d like to express my sincere gratitude for your efforts and help for EKC 2015.
As you know well, the academic program (i.e. scientific sessions) is the most important activity in EKC.
In this regard, good scientific session proposal is the cornerstone for the success of EKC 2015.
I’d like to cordially invite your association to submit at least a couple of session proposals which will explicitly demonstrate the contribution from your association as a co-organizer of EKC 2015.
For the session proposal submission, it is not required to provide a full list of invited speakers and contributing speakers.
Especially, it is not mandatory for the session organizer to find all the contributing speakers whereas one or two invited speakers should be proposed by the session organizer.
In case you need more time to prepare session proposals, I can give you a short delay up on request.
For the moment, I need following indispensable elements for the session proposal submission even though the other elements can be provided later.
* Session title
* Science group
* Short introduction of the session
* Session organizer
Please remember that invited speakers will be provided with full travel cost (within Europe), accommodation (one night) and exoneration of conference fee.
I need urgently aforementioned information to determine the conference program.
If you need any inquiry or demand, please don’t hesitate to tell me.
